for church singing groups and congregations
pacifichordia are planning to release their first CD after Easter, 2008. It is hoped that the project will raise money for a pacific missionary organisation. |
The choir will be resuming practices in February and plan to present a variety of Easter songs at churches around Ipswich, Qld. |

When I was teaching at Avoka Girls’ School in Samoa, a Methodist Church School, I would wake up each morning to pacific-flavoured hymn singing. Somehow that sound became a part of me and I thought at that time that I would write music that drew on that experience. pacifichord is about a style of hymn-writing that integrates people and personalities, classical and contemporary writing, faith in God and love of Australia and the pacific islands.
